Cowboy Poetry and Storytelling

Manzanita Arts Emporium hosts the local Cowboy Poetry Hoot and Holler at the Mark Twain Wild West Fest Saturday, October 19, at 1 pm, 2:30, and 4 pm at the corner of Rasberry and Main. Audiences will enjoy cowboy poetry and tall tales or exciting Wild West true stories. Humor and wit encouraged for all ages. The public is invited to sign up ahead of the event to tell a cowboy/cowgirl poem or two or a story about the west–local lore invited. No fee for entry. Time frame: 2-3 minutes per person at the mic. Apply here and get on the list!

Original or traditional, your choice. We provide the mic, and you provide the like. Free.

Student division and adult division. If you don’t have a poem or story to tell, we will provide one so that you can practice and then step up to the mic. Traditional readings and oral reciting. No fears, we’re all ears. All participants will be entered in a drawing for prizes.
